Y. Anthony Chen is a postdoctoral scholar at University of California, Irvine. He studies the process and implications of social media use and technologies on relationship, identity, and well-being in general. Using quantitative research methods, he examines these questions among adolescents, young adults, international students, and the LGBTQ+ community.

He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Communication Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
